2010 Windsport Board Test

With winds light and continuing to be light here in Texas the testing was put on standby and the measurements were taken. Accounting for everything the Windsport board testers did not only focus on riding the boards but how they were shaped. Taking into account single and double concaves, rocker lines, and any other shape attributes the board companies put into the new 2010 boards. Pictured here Derek and Tom taking some notes. In the background 2009 and 2010 Rental sails at one of our host test shops Worldwinds with the new setup being mobile testing has taken place not only here in Corpus Christi but in the Gorge, Rio Vista, San Carlos Mex.

Worldwinds Corpus Christi TX

Getting in to Bird Island a little ahead of schedule around 6pm Weds. night just in time to go to bed and wake up for the first day of camp on Thurs. A gorgeous day warm with moderate wind it was a great way to not only start the day but the camp at our host shop Worldwinds. One of the best stops in the tour not only for weather and windsurfing but for gear, if your looking to sail the latest and greatest gear. It wasn't even 2010 and Worldwinds had already stocked their rental fleet with 2010 Fanatics and Starboards just in time for our campers to put them to the test. Luckily there were quite a few people stoked on practicing their light wind even sailors from The Colombia River Gorge who wanted to work on their finesse. With 3 days of sunny weather and warm shallow water no one was complaining about the nice tan they were getting in Nov. Board shorts, warm shallow water, great gear, newly acquired tan lines, and a fantastic host shop.
